About Ihtsham Haq: Why I’m Running for Mayor

Cambridge is a great city with strong communities, hardworking families, and local businesses that contribute so much to our future. I’m running for Mayor because I believe our city has even greater potential — and residents deserve leadership that listens, understands their concerns, and focuses on practical results.

I am a Cambridge resident, small-business owner, and proud father of two.

As a local business owner, I understand firsthand the everyday pressures facing families, employees, and entrepreneurs — from rising costs and taxes to municipal permits, infrastructure, and public safety.

I’m running for Mayor to bring practical, accountable, and results-focused leadership to Cambridge City Hall. I believe our city needs leadership that listens to residents, respects taxpayers, and works every day to build a stronger future for every part of Cambridge.

For me, being Mayor is not about a title. It is about being accessible, listening to people from every part of Cambridge, and bringing residents, businesses, and community organizations together to find solutions.

I believe the best decisions are made when people feel heard and City Hall stays connected to the community it serves.

I’m running because I believe in Cambridge, its people, and what we can accomplish together.
