How to Vote in the 2026 Cambridge, Ontario Municipal Election
Election Day is Monday, October 26, 2026. Elections are run by the City of Cambridge Clerk’s Office, so please confirm all details with the City.

Before you vote
- You must be at least 18 years old on voting day and meet the City’s eligibility rules.
- Make sure your name is on the Voters’ List. You need to be on it to receive your notification letter and to vote online.
- Bring acceptable ID showing your name and qualifying address.
Advance voting in person
You can vote at any advance voting location, regardless of your ward.
- Preston Auditorium: September 26, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- City Hall: October 6 to 10, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Hespeler Memorial Arena: October 17, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Online voting
Online voting lets you cast your ballot from an internet-connected device. You must be on the Voters’ List. Check the City’s website for how it works and when it opens and closes.
Election Day
On Monday, October 26, 2026, you can vote at any voting location assigned to your ward. Your location will be listed on the City’s website and in your Voter Notification Letter.
The City also offers other options, including at-home voting, proxy voting and curb-side voting. Contact the Clerk’s Office to ask about accessibility or accommodations.
